Artificial intelligence is also widely used in employment scams. Criminals create fake job postings, conduct fraudulent interviews, and ask applicants to install software for remote work. In reality, these programs contain malware or are designed to steal personal information.
The main reason these scams are becoming more common is that AI allows criminals to quickly produce high-quality, personalized content. That is why staying alert and thinking critically remain your best protection.
How to protect yourself:
- Download applications only from official sources.
- Do not click on suspicious links.
- Never install software from unverified sources.
- Verify urgent requests through another communication channel.
- Never share verification codes, banking details, or other confidential information with anyone.
- Carefully verify employers and job vacancies before applying.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to better protect your accounts.
